I’ll try to explain in few words what the article is about.
Just a consideration about new possibilities of expressing yourself through the web, and the fact that art (all kind of it) should embrace these new potentials, as in the past always did. When something new came up (technology, ethic, moral and political changes…) artists were the first ones who expressed the meaning of these changes through their creations.
Now, in the internet era (file exchanges, communication, open source) I think that and artist who still wants to be represented by an editor is a obsolete combination. Everybody can bring out their works and present them on the net, for free. Because the first goal of any artist should be “reach the most people as possible”. Thinking about making money can only distract you from the process of creation.
That’s why realities such as Jamendo, Deviant Art, Lulu ecc. are the new channels to represent beauty, which is the meaning of art according to the dictionary.
About Changes in Mind, I found it very fascinating, I liked the atmosphere (folky with some psychedelic influences) and I suggested my readers to listen to it in the easy mornings of this present spring.
